American Firesleeve
Firesleeve with Velcro is made by taking firesleeve roll fabric and adding a velcro closure. The Velcro and thread can usually be standard polyester, or high temperature nomex. Other high-temperature threads include fiberglass or inconel.
Firesleeve and our other silicone coated materials withstands 550°F / 287°C continuous exposure; Molten Splash at 2200°F / 1205°C for periods up to 15 minutes and short excursions to 3000°F / 1650°C.
The firesleeve on this site can be used as a firejacket or as a fire sleeve to protect all classes of hoses and cables in any usage; such as marine firesleeve, industrial firesleeve and aviation firesleeve.

Industrial firesleeve has its limitations in that it must be slid over the hose or cable it is protecting. This may be a problem if the hose or cable is already installed and cannot be removed from the machine or equipment.
The solution to this problem is a firesleeve with a velcro closure manufactured into the sleeve. This allows the firesleeve to be installed on hoses, cables or lines without disassembly. In heavy use areas, the firesleeve with velcro can be removed and a new one installed periodically. Using a firesleeve with velcro also allows for easy inspection of the protected hose or cable as necessary.
In heavy industries such as steelmaking, firesleeve with velcro is used as an electric arc furnace cable cover (EAF cable cover). Cable and hose bundling is a job made easy using firesleeve with velcro.
Firesleeve with Velcro can be made in sizes from 3/4" I.D. through 12" I.D. with the fabric as a single piece. For larger sizes (for use on large diameter piping or process equipment), the sleeve can be fabricated in almost unlimited sizes by joining multiple fabric rolls together during manufacturing.
For diameters of 3/4" I.D. through 4" I.D., a 3/4 inch wide Velcro closure is used. On larger diameter sleeve a 2" wide velcro closure is used.
