American Firesleeve
Our 98 oz/yd2 fireblanket is made with an extra thick coating of high-temperature silicone rubber over a very heavy and dense braided E-type fiberglass cloth.
This is a premium quality and extra heavy-duty fireblanket, used for a variety of applications in heavy industry and aerospace.
Liquid metal simply bounces off the extra thick coating of high-temperature silicone rubber.
This firesleeve fireblanket is produced in a 40 inch wide roll, 150 feet long. It can be easily fabricated into a wide variety of covers such as festoon cable protection covers, EAF cable covers (electric arc furnace cable covers), and other heavy duty protection devices. Grommets, rivits and fasteners with backing washers can be used to easily attach this fabric to enclosures or machinery.
This fabric weighs 98 oz/yd2 / 3300 g/m2 and is coated on one side.
Other Fire Blankets are available:
· 33 oz/yd2 coated 2 sides: available in a 36 and 60 inch roll width
· 18 oz/yd2 coated 2 sides: available in a 60 inch roll width
These fabrics are commonly used as weld splatter protection blankets, or used as a facing material in fabricating high-temperature insulating blankets.

Firesleeve Fireblanket - 98 oz/yd2
Firesleeve and our other silicone coated materials withstands 500°F / 260°C continuous exposure; Molten Splash at 2200°F / 1205°C for periods up to 15 minutes and short excursions to 3000°F / 1650°C.
The firesleeve on this site can be used as a firejacket or as a fire sleeve to protect all classes of hoses and cables in any usage; such as marine firesleeve, industrial firesleeve and aviation firesleeve.
